FERMATA Chamber Choir of the University of the Arts Poznan is a small group of singing enthusiasts from Poznań. The group consists of students and graduates of Poznań universities who share a passion for chamber and often even solo performances of all kinds of vocal music. The repertoire of this group includes masterpieces of early music as well as works written specifically for Fermata by more contemporary artists. The choir also sings popular hits of pop music and jazz. Thanks to such an extensive repertoire, Fermata is often invited to take part in important concerts, prestigious festivals and academic events. The group was founded in 1990 by Dr Mateusz MJ Sibilski who has always been the choir’s artistic director. It is the 34th artistic season of the ensemble and almost 35 years of operation of the choir have resulted in numerous top prizes won in Polish and European competitions. Fermata has a lot of phonographic works including six albums. Polish music has a special place in the choir’s library.
